Ardamata Massacre: Up to 2,000 Killed in El Geneina

RSF and Janjaweed fighters massacred between 800 and 2,000 people in the Ardamata neighborhood of El Geneina. The attack was ethnically targeted, primarily against the Massalit community but also against Tama, Erenga, and other non-Arab groups. Survivors recounted executions of men and boys and mass sexual violence against women and girls. HRW and UN investigators characterized the killings as crimes against humanity.
