RSF Opens Fire on Civilian Evacuation Convoy in El Geneina

RSF fighters opened fire on a kilometers-long convoy of civilians attempting to flee El Geneina. The RSF pursued, rounded up, and shot men, women, and children who ran through streets or tried to swim across the Kajja river. The UN Security Council later received a report estimating 10,000–15,000 people killed in El Geneina from April to November 2023.
