KIA-Led Forces Sink or Damage Six Junta Vessels Between Sawati and Mya Lel Villages

| Myanmar

KIA-led resistance forces ambushed a flotilla of Military Commission vessels travelling downstream from Bhamo toward Mandalay on the morning of September 13, 2026, between Sawati and Mya Lel villages in Kachin State. Four vessels sank and two were badly damaged by fire. The junta retaliated with at least 15 bombing runs by Y-12 aircraft and fighter jets against Sawati, Kaung Tong and Nyaung Pin Thar villages. Resistance sources say roughly 24 military and cargo vessels have been destroyed and 151 Military Commission personnel captured in the Bhamo river campaign since late August.
