Lin Yone Nyi Naung Guerrilla Force Ambushes Convoy Between Monywa and Sagaing, Killing 20+ Soldiers

The Linn Yone Nyi Naung Guerrilla Force said it mined a military convoy travelling from the Northwestern Regional Military Command in Monywa toward the 33rd Light Infantry Division on September 13, 2026, then fired an 80mm weapon at troops caught in the resulting ambush. The group claimed more than 20 military personnel were killed. A civilian man working in a nearby peanut field was killed and another wounded when the military returned fire.
