Junta Gyrocopters and Mi-35 Helicopter Kill Seven Civilians in Sagaing's Ye-U Township

At around 4:48 p.m. on September 7, 2026, three gyrocopters and one Mi-35 attack helicopter launched from the Northwestern Regional Military Command in Monywa struck a vehicle repair workshop near the market in Tinteinyan Village, Ye-U Township, Sagaing Region. The aircraft dropped bombs and opened fire with machine guns, killing a woman and six men aged 20-50 instantly and wounding three others. The workshop, neighboring market stalls, and at least 10 vehicles were destroyed or badly damaged. Residents and resistance officials said there was no active fighting in the area at the time of the strike.
