CRPH Formed by Ousted Parliamentarians

Ousted NLD lawmakers who evaded arrest formed the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) in Yangon and online. The CRPH declared itself the legitimate legislative body of Myanmar, voided the 2008 military-drafted constitution, and later abolished the laws that protected the military from criminal prosecution. This provided the legal foundation for the National Unity Government.
