Aung San Suu Kyi & Win Myint Arrested

Aung San Suu Kyi was arrested at her Naypyidaw residence and held incommunicado. Charged initially with importing walkie-talkies illegally, further charges including corruption and violation of the Official Secrets Act were added. President Win Myint was simultaneously detained. Suu Kyi was ultimately sentenced to a total of 27 years imprisonment by junta-controlled courts.
