Nophadol In-na, chairman of the Thai Senate Advisory Commission on Foreign Affairs, issued a four-point statement responding to remarks Hun Sen made at the 2nd Inter-Parliamentary Speakers' Conference in Phnom Penh accusing Thailand of stalling the ceasefire and using online-scam operations as a pretext to occupy Cambodian territory. Nophadol said Thailand respects the December 27, 2025 ceasefire, reasserted that 'Cambodia fired first' in the original clashes, accused Cambodia of encroachment, and said Phnom Penh has sought to internationalise what he called a bilateral matter. He also defended a Thai military aircraft's reported 400-metre incursion into Cambodian airspace as inadvertent and not a policy violation.
