ASEAN Observer Team Inspects Cham Yeam Crossing to Verify Ceasefire Compliance

The Philippines-led ASEAN Observer Team in Cambodia, accompanied by Cambodia's Liaison Group, conducted an observation, verification and reporting visit at the Cham Yeam International Border Checkpoint in Koh Kong province at 9:35 a.m. on September 1. Cambodia's Ministry of National Defence reaffirmed its commitment to the ceasefire and related agreements, saying the AOT's role is 'aimed at promoting transparency, building mutual trust and supporting the implementation of the ceasefire between the two countries.' No violations or incidents were reported during the visit.
