Day 786: 19-Year-Old Motorcyclist Shot Dead in Culiacán's Díaz Ordaz Neighborhood

At approximately 4:00 PM on Thursday, September 17, 2026, a 19-year-old identified as Ovier de Jesús was intercepted while riding his motorcycle on Calle Sebastián Allende, between Ciro Ceballos and Joaquín Berlanga, in the Gustavo Díaz Ordaz neighborhood of Culiacán. An armed assailant shot him multiple times, killing him at the scene; several spent cartridges were recovered. Municipal police, Mexican Army and SSPC personnel responded, and family members from his home in the Progreso neighborhood later identified the body.
