Day 781: Gunmen Torch Three Vehicles Beside Apartment Building in Colonia Seis de Enero; 18 Evacuated

Around 1:00 AM on Saturday, September 12, 2026, an armed group opened fire on two Toyota Hilux pickups and a Volkswagen Jetta parked at the corner of Calle Profesora Concepción Ocaranza and Avenida Teniente Juan de la Barrera in the Seis de Enero neighborhood of Culiacán, then set the vehicles ablaze, along with a Honda parked nearby. Because the fire threatened an adjacent apartment building, firefighters evacuated 18 residents — including a minor and a pregnant woman — as a precaution. No injuries were reported.
