Day 780: Man Shot Near Culiacán Landfill Access Road in Loma de Rodriguera

On the morning of Friday, September 11, 2026, armed subjects shot a man on the road leading to La Pitayita, at the entrance to Culiacán's municipal landfill (relleno sanitario) in the Loma de Rodriguera sector, before fleeing the scene. Unofficial reports suggested the victim may be a landfill worker, though this was not confirmed by authorities. Mexican Army personnel responded, administered first aid and transported the victim to a hospital in Culiacán.
