Karenni Resistance Forces Capture Junta Light Infantry Battalion 530 Position Near Loi Htwe, ~20 Soldiers Killed

Karenni resistance forces captured a Myanmar military Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 530 position east of Loi Htwe village near Loikaw, Kayah (Karenni) State on September 2, 2026, reportedly killing about 20 SAC soldiers in the assault. The gain added to a string of resistance advances in the Karenni theater and reportedly prompted a retaliatory junta airstrike wave on Shadaw Township three days later.
