CDF-Asho Commander-in-Chief Salai Yoe Chin Killed in Junta Ambush in Magway Region

| Myanmar

Chin Defence Force-Asho (CDF-Asho) Commander-in-Chief Salai Yoe Chin and two other CDF-Asho members were killed on August 14, 2026 when junta forces ambushed their logistics column in Ngape Township, Magway Region, roughly 77km west of Magway city, along the Ann-Padan road corridor. The area has seen intensifying joint CDF-Asho/Arakan Army operations against junta supply lines since October 2025, restricting the route toward the military's Western Command in Ann Township, Rakhine State. Salai Yoe Chin's death is among the most senior resistance-commander losses of the year.
