Junta Jet Drops Bomb Near Paletwa Town Entrance, Injuring Two Girls

At around 7:32am on August 11, 2026, a junta fighter jet dropped a bomb near the entrance sign of Paletwa Town, southern Chin State, on the upper Kaladan River. Shrapnel struck the legs of two teenage girls, 19-year-old Ma Htwe Sein and 13-year-old Ma Thandar Hteik, who were in a nearby home. The strike is part of the junta's escalating aerial campaign across AA/CNF-contested townships along the Rakhine-Chin border.
