Burmese Women's Union: 332 Women Killed by Junta Violence in First Half of 2026

The Burmese Women's Union released a report on July 13, 2026 documenting 332 women killed and 306 injured by junta violence between January and June 2026 across Myanmar, including 58 girls under 18 and 10 pregnant women. Deaths resulted primarily from airstrikes, artillery shelling, landmines, arson, and sexual violence. The highest tolls were recorded in Sagaing Region (102), Bago Region (47), Rakhine State (41), Karen State (17), and Tanintharyi Region (15), reflecting the geographic spread of the junta's aerial and ground campaigns against resistance-held areas.
