Pazigyi Village Airstrike Kills 170+ at Public Gathering

| Myanmar

SAC jet fighters and helicopters bombed the village of Pazigyi in Kanbalu Township, Sagaing Region, during an inauguration ceremony for a local PDF-affiliated administration, killing at least 170 people — including women, children, and civilians. UN Special Rapporteur Tom Andrews called it 'an act of pure terror.' It was among the deadliest single attacks of the entire conflict. The SAC claimed it targeted a 'terrorist gathering.' The NUG condemned it as a war crime and called for international accountability.
