Operation 1027 Launched — Three Brotherhood Alliance Offensive

On October 27, 2023, the Three Brotherhood Alliance — comprising the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA), Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), and Arakan Army (AA) — launched a massive coordinated offensive named 'Operation 1027' in northern Shan State. Within days, the alliance captured over 150 SAC outposts, blocked the strategic Lashio–Muse highway, and advanced on multiple towns. The offensive marked the most dramatic shift in the conflict since 2021.
