Somos México and PAZ Formally Begin Activities as Mexico's 7th and 8th National Parties

Somos México and Construyendo Sociedades de Paz (PAZ) officially started operating as National Political Parties on July 1, 2026, the effective date set by the INE's June 26 registration resolution. Both parties collected office space, administrative resources, and formal registration certificates from the INE, and joined the General Council and National Oversight Commission as full participants with access to public financing. The activation brings Mexico's total of registered national parties to eight and gives both organizations standing to run candidates in the 2027 federal midterm elections.
