AMLO Inaugurated — 'Fourth Transformation' Begins

AMLO was inaugurated at the National Congress and then addressed a massive crowd at the Zócalo. He declared the beginning of Mexico's 'Cuarta Transformación' (Fourth Transformation), comparing his government to the three previous national transformations: the Independence, the Reform (Juárez), and the Revolution. He announced immediate salary cuts for top officials, elimination of presidential perks, and conversion of the presidential residence (Los Pinos) into a public cultural center.
