AMLO Wins with 53.2% — Morena Landslide
Andrés Manuel López Obrador won Mexico's presidency on his third attempt with 53.2% of the vote — the largest presidential margin since PRI's managed elections of the 1980s. Ricardo Anaya (PAN-PRD coalition) received 22.3% and José Antonio Meade (PRI) 16.4%. Morena won a majority in both chambers of Congress. The result reflected accumulated anger over corruption, insecurity, and economic inequality.
