700–800 Cartel Gunmen Mobilize Across Culiacán

The Sinaloa Cartel deployed between 700 and 800 gunmen across Culiacán using approximately 78 vehicles, including armored trucks equipped with .50 caliber Barrett rifles, machine guns, rocket launchers, and grenade launchers. The outnumbered security forces (approximately 350 personnel) were immediately overwhelmed. At least 19 narcobloqueos (roadblocks) were established across the city; 42 vehicles were forcibly seized and at least 9 burned to block all major roads and highways.
