Five Major NGOs Release 'Failing' Scorecard on Gaza Ceasefire at Six-Month Mark

| Israel-Palestine

A joint scorecard released on April 22, 2026 by five major humanitarian organizations — Danish Refugee Council, Norwegian Refugee Council, Oxfam, Refugees International, and Save the Children — assessed the Gaza ceasefire as 'failing' six months after its October 10, 2025 launch. Key findings: at least 2 children per day are being killed or injured since the ceasefire; aid truck entries to Gaza fell 80% in the first two weeks of March 2026, raising renewed famine risk; basic goods prices have surged dramatically (food price inflation at 305% in March); UNRWA remains blocked from bringing international staff into Gaza since March 2025; and approximately 11,000 Palestinian UNRWA staff continue operations without adequate supply. OHCHR also released a statement noting 'Palestinians across Gaza [are] unsafe six months on from ceasefire announcement.' The signatories called on Israel to immediately allow unrestricted humanitarian access and demanded international accountability for ceasefire violations. Cumulative Gaza deaths since October 7, 2023 stand at approximately 72,315–72,553, with 738–777 Palestinians killed since the October 2025 ceasefire.
