Mumbai Attacks (26/11) — 166 Killed in 60-Hour Siege
Ten Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) gunmen launched coordinated attacks across Mumbai on November 26, 2008, targeting the Taj Hotel, Oberoi Hotel, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Nariman House, and other sites. The 60-hour siege killed 166 people (including 6 Americans) and wounded 300+. Nine attackers were killed; sole survivor Ajmal Kasab was captured, tried, and executed in 2012. Pakistan-based LeT operational commander Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi was implicated.
