Uri Army Camp Attack — 19 Indian Soldiers Killed

Four militants attacked the Indian Army Brigade HQ at Uri in Baramulla district on September 18, 2016 at 5:30 AM, throwing grenades into sleeping barracks. The attack killed 19 Indian soldiers — the deadliest militant attack on the Indian Army in two decades. All four militants were killed. India attributed the attack to Jaish-e-Mohammed, Pakistan denied involvement.
