Israeli Strikes and Gunfire Kill Four Across Gaza

Israeli strikes and gunfire killed at least four Palestinians and wounded 15 others across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, despite the ceasefire. A drone strike hit a tent sheltering displaced people on Jules Street, north of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, killing one person and wounding 12 (11 admitted to Al-Awda Hospital). In the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis, Israeli forces shot and killed a child, Obeida Osama Sheikh, in the chest. Ramzi Abu Reeda, a former political prisoner, died from wounds sustained in earlier bombardment in Khan Younis, and 70-year-old Fathi Ahmad Mahmoud Abu Ayada died from gunfire wounds in the Al-Maslakh area south of Khan Younis. A separate strike hit a house in Khan Younis, and another hit the rooftop of a home belonging to the Ferwana family near Sheikh Radwan Cemetery, Gaza City, wounding a Palestinian. Medical sources at Nasser and Al-Shifa hospitals reported additional casualties. Palestinian officials said the incidents were among 16 new violations of the October 2025 ceasefire agreement.
