Israeli Drone Strike Kills Family of Four in Beit Lahia

An Israeli drone strike hit a home in the Beit Lahia Project area of northern Gaza around 2:00 AM on September 9, 2026, killing Momen Abdul-Rahman Ahmad, his wife Haneen Mousa Fares Saleh, and their two daughters, 12-year-old Lana and 8-year-old Bana, as the family slept. A neighbor, Zuhair al-Haisami, said the family was killed while sleeping. The IDF claimed without evidence that Momen was a Hamas member but made no mention of the woman and children killed. Israeli warplanes also struck after midnight in the nearby Jabalia refugee camp, with Israeli forces firing on tents of displaced people and ambulances.
