Israeli Airstrike Kills Two, Including a Girl, in Al-Nasr Neighborhood of Gaza City

| Gaza War

An Israeli airstrike struck a vehicle in the al-Nasr neighborhood of western Gaza City on Sunday, September 6, 2026, killing two people, including a girl, and wounding six others, according to Mohamed Abu Selmia, head of Al Shifa Hospital, Gaza's largest hospital. The Israeli military had not commented on the strike as of publication. Hamas contends Israel is breaching the October 2025 ceasefire and obstructing implementation of President Trump's peace plan, which calls for an eventual Israeli withdrawal and Hamas disarmament. Gaza health officials say more than 1,300 Palestinians, predominantly civilians, have been killed since the ceasefire took effect, while Israel reports four soldiers killed in the same period.
