Fighting Resumes at Kibati and Kafunsi, Paralyzing Walikale-Masisi Traffic

FARDC and Wazalendo forces clashed again with AFC/M23 rebels on Sunday, Sept 13 around Kibati and Kafunsi in Walikale's Luberike grouping, extending into Milonge, Muhanga and Buhimba in neighboring Masisi territory. Road traffic remained suspended on the Kashebere-Mungazi axis, stranding travelers at Mungazi and Nyabiondo and cutting off supply and healthcare access for the affected communities. No casualty toll was reported.
