FARDC Downs RDF/M23-Twirwaneho Drone Near Runyengo in the Fizi Highlands

FARDC intercepted and destroyed a kamikaze drone attributed to Rwandan forces, M23 and the allied Twirwaneho/Red-Tabara militia near Runyengo, between Mukoko and Mulima villages in the Fizi highlands, around 8 a.m. on Aug 20 — hours after loyalist forces repelled rebel attacks on their highland positions, part of a wider pattern of drone activity over the tense South Kivu highlands front.
