Second Agrarian Reform — All Large Farms Nationalized

The Second Agrarian Reform nationalized all farms larger than 165 acres, eliminating the remaining middle-class private farms and turning Cuba into a fully state-managed agricultural economy. The reform completed the Soviet-style collectivization of Cuban agriculture begun in 1959.
