Alleged Unión Tepito Member 'El Chilaquil' Shot Dead in Peralvillo, Wanted Since March

| CDMX

Luis Rodríguez, alias 'El Chilaquil,' an alleged member of La Unión Tepito, was shot and killed by two gunmen on a motorcycle at the intersection of Sebastián Bach and Juventino Rosas streets in the Exhipódromo de Peralvillo neighborhood, Cuauhtémoc borough, on the afternoon of September 4. He had been sought by SSC since March 2026, when a raid on a Gustavo A. Madero address led to his wife's arrest while he escaped. Investigators are treating an internal Unión Tepito power dispute as the leading hypothesis, alongside rival-gang confrontation, in the latest killing tied to the Centro Histórico turf war that has left dozens dead in 2026.
