PAN's Olivia Garza Elected to Head Congreso CDMX's Mesa Directiva for Legislature's Final Year

| CDMX

Deputy Olivia Garza de los Santos (PAN), backed by her own bloc and the allied PVEM, was elected president of the Congreso CDMX's Mesa Directiva with 56 votes, taking over from outgoing PVEM coordinator Jesús Sesma for the III Legislature's third and final year (through August 31, 2027). Garza, who served as Mesa Directiva vice president the prior term, pledged impartial rule enforcement — 'Escucharé a todos, pero no beneficiaré a nadie' — and said the body belongs to the Congress's 66 deputies, not to any single party or majority coalition, promising to balance minority participation against majority rule as the chamber opens its last ordinary legislative year.
