SSC Recaptures Unión Tepito Operator 'El Moño' in Morelos Neighborhood, Seizes Gun, Cocaine and Meth

SSC officers stopped Hugo Alexis 'N', alias 'El Moño', 30, on Miguel Domínguez street in the Morelos neighborhood (Cuauhtémoc) after observing him manipulating a plastic wrapper. A search turned up a handgun loaded with 7 rounds, 83 bags plus roughly half a kilogram of marijuana, 99 doses of apparent cocaine, 89 wrappers of suspected methamphetamine, two cellphones and cash. Authorities identified him as a cousin and operator of jailed Unión Tepito leader 'El Irving,' dedicated to narcotics sales in Morelos and extortion of semi-fixed downtown market stalls — the same criminal cell SSC has targeted in a string of Cuauhtémoc raids since late July. He was turned over to the Public Prosecutor's Office.
