Family of Missing 16-Year-Old Nelly Carmona Blocks Insurgentes Norte, Demands Fiscalía Track Her Phone

| CDMX

Relatives of Nelly Kimberly Carmona Pérez, 16, blocked Avenida Insurgentes Norte at Eje 1 for more than three hours, nine days after she was last seen being dropped off by friends at Metro Guerrero (Cuauhtémoc) on August 22. The family said her cellphone has since shown as 'busy' and demanded the Fiscalía General de Justicia CDMX track the device and speed up the search. The Fiscalía and the National Search Commission had issued a search alert describing her build, hair, and the clothing she wore that day. Protesters lifted the blockade after roughly three hours without authorities sharing new information on her whereabouts.
