Brugada Launches 'Pacto Digital CDMX' to Curb Children's Screen Time and Push Digital Rights Law

She cited data showing 85% of children aged 6-14 in the capital use the internet at least three hours daily, rising to 98% of 12-17-year-olds averaging over five hours, with 134,000 young people reporting cyberbullying. The plan includes a forthcoming Digital Rights Law for Children and Adolescents, a digital-rights charter covering privacy, data protection and algorithmic transparency, school consultations beginning September 17, new rules curbing cellphone use in classrooms, and measures — developed the following day — to prevent AI deepfakes from being weaponized against women.
