Artemis I Launch Scrub #2 — Liquid Hydrogen Leak
The second launch attempt was scrubbed when a liquid hydrogen leak was detected at the quick-disconnect fitting on the core stage engine section. Teams attempted three remediation methods — warming, chilling, and helium repressurization — all failed to seal the leak. Launch Director Charlie Blackwell-Thompson called the scrub at 11:17 AM EDT. The vehicle was subsequently rolled back to the VAB for repairs.
