Artemis I Launch Scrub #1 — Faulty Engine Temperature Sensor
The first Artemis I launch attempt was scrubbed at T-40 minutes due to a faulty temperature sensor on RS-25 Engine #3, which appeared not to have reached its required pre-chill temperature. Engineers determined the sensor itself was faulty, not the engine, but could not safely proceed. A second launch attempt was scheduled for September 3.
