| Ukraine

Russian forces launched a ballistic missile strike on the Kametstal steel plant in Kamianske, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, in the early hours of September 5, killing five plant employees and injuring five others, according to regional Governor Oleksandr Hanzha. Three of the wounded were hospitalized, including a 30-year-old woman in intensive care. Kametstal, which had continued operating throughout the war, halted operations following the strike. The attack came the same day Russia announced a 72-hour pause on strikes against Kyiv to accommodate visiting US envoys, underscoring that the truce did not extend to the rest of the country.
