Ukraine Strikes Tuapse Refinery for Third Time — Evacuations Ordered in Krasnodar

| Ukraine

Ukrainian drones struck the Tuapse oil refinery in Russia's Krasnodar region for the third time in two weeks on April 28, triggering evacuations of residents near the Rosneft facility. Black smoke from the blaze was visible from Sochi, 80 km to the south. Emergency authorities deployed over 300 firefighting personnel. The refinery processes approximately 12 million metric tons of crude oil annually and is a key export hub for naphtha, fuel oil, and diesel — making it a high-value target for Ukraine's long-range drone campaign against Russian energy infrastructure. Ukrainian drones also struck oil facilities in Perm and Orsk as part of the same escalating campaign against Russia's petroleum sector, which directly funds its war machine.
