Russian Overnight Drone Barrage Kills 7 in Kyiv, Including 14-Year-Old Boy, Injures 59

Russia struck Kyiv overnight into September 25 with a mass drone and missile barrage hitting at least six districts and the surrounding area. At least 7 people were killed, including two children — among them a 14-year-old Israeli citizen whose mother was also injured — and 59 people were injured, with 25 hospitalized. A 16-story residential building was struck in the Pecherskyi district; a commercial building was hit in Podilskyi; an office building, a medical facility and drone debris caused damage in Solomianskyi; a five-story non-residential building caught fire in Shevchenkivskyi, damaging Ukraine's High Council of Justice building nearby and injuring 8 people; a McDonald's warehouse was hit in Brovary, Kyiv Oblast; and data centers were damaged in Lutsk, disrupting public transport systems there. President Zelenskyy said Russia is "constantly expanding their escalation operation" by targeting businesses, data centers and internet providers.
