Russian Overnight Barrage Hits Kyiv Apartment Buildings, Kills One, Injures Nine

Russia attacked Ukraine overnight into September 9 with 196 strike drones (Shahed, Gerbera and Parodiya decoys), S8000 Banderol munitions, and Iskander-M ballistic missiles. A drone strike hit a nine-story residential building in Kyiv's Dniprovskyi district, killing one woman and injuring at least three people including two teenagers (a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl). A separate jet-powered Banderol munition struck a 24-story residential building in the capital's Darnytskyi district the same morning, raising the citywide injury toll to nine.
