Ukraine Destroys Zircon Hypersonic Missile Launcher in Crimea — First Such Strike

Ukraine notably disrupted elements of a Russian strike package by destroying a ground-based Zircon hypersonic missile launcher while it was moving into a firing position in Crimea on the night of March 23–24. The strike was described as 'a testament to Ukraine's maturing operational planning and extended-range strike capabilities.' Ukraine subsequently also struck a Bastion Coastal Missile System in Crimea on March 25, the system used to launch Zircon missiles. Ukrainian forces also made recent advances in the Slovyansk direction, in the Kostyantynivka-Druzhkivka tactical area, and in western Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
