PURSUE Tranche 4 Released — 40 Files Include 2015 Pantex Nuclear Facility Drone Intrusion
The Department of War released a fourth PURSUE batch on July 10: 40 records (14 documents, 19 videos, 4 audio recordings, 3 images) from the Pentagon, NASA, CIA, FBI, and Department of Energy. The most detailed report concerns a September 1, 2015 incident at the Pantex Plant nuclear-weapons facility near Amarillo, Texas: ground surveillance radar detected an unidentified object around 7:10 a.m. flying in a 'non-threatening manner' on a northerly trajectory; two Pantex police officers pursued it for several miles but could not intercept it. Witnesses described a silent, diamond-shaped object roughly 4 feet tall and 2 feet wide, variously reported as black, silver, red, or blue, with no visible propulsion system, that accelerated and changed direction while being followed. Investigators classified the encounter as non-threatening since the object never approached sensitive assets. The release also includes a 2019 account from a military pilot with 28 years of service describing 'an object with flight characteristics unlike anything I had seen' over the Eastern US, and 2025 sightings of anomalous phenomena over the Yellow Sea and East China Sea near China.
