White House UAP Science Advisory Council Formed, Chaired by Harvard's Avi Loeb
The Disclosure Foundation announced that theoretical physicist and Harvard University professor Avi Loeb will chair a new 12-member 'UAP Science Advisory Council,' tasked by the Trump Administration's interagency UAP Governance Board (White House, AARO, ODNI, FBI, and Intelligence Community) to provide scientific guidance on studying unidentified anomalous phenomena. The multidisciplinary council spans physics, data science, AI, psychology, anthropology, oceanography, and materials science, including retired Navy Rear Admiral Tim Gallaudet and molecular biologist Garry Nolan. Loeb said the group's goal is to help determine whether UAP represent a national security threat or a major scientific discovery, emphasizing new, higher-quality data collection over relitigating older, unverifiable material: 'A good detective resolves mysteries by collecting new evidence and analyzing it, rather than by discussing the unknown on social media or asking AI for help.' The announcement coincided with AARO's June 5 case-analysis update on the October 2023 Western US orb incident released as part of PURSUE Tranche 3.
