An RSF drone strike on a fuel station in central El Obeid killed 1 and wounded 4 on June 26, 2026. Separately, a humanitarian truck delivering aid was attacked, killing the driver, and a SAF drone strike hit a school, injuring 8 students. The trio of strikes underscored the deteriorating protection environment for civilian and humanitarian infrastructure in North Kordofan as the siege of El Obeid intensified through late June.
