RSF-SPLM-N Shelling Kills 14 Civilians Including 5 Children in Dilling; Sudan Doctors Warn of El Fasher-Scale Catastrophe

| Sudan Conflict

After two days of assault, the RSF-SPLM-N offensive on Dilling, South Kordofan confirmed at least 14 civilians killed (including 5 children and 2 women) and 23 wounded as of March 29, per the Sudan Doctors Network. The shelling targeted residential areas in the city, causing 'a high number of casualties amid extremely difficult humanitarian and health conditions.' Eyewitnesses reported more than eight houses destroyed. The Sudan Doctors Network and local resistance leader Abdelrahman Hammad warned Dilling could face a 'catastrophic scenario' comparable to El Fasher in October 2025, where the RSF killed over 6,000 people in three days. The al-Tukma area (7 km east) remained under RSF-SPLM-N control, keeping the road to Habila severed and triggering a severe shortage of basic commodities in the city.
