RSF-SPLM-N Launch Major Assault on Dilling, South Kordofan; Residential Areas Shelled
RSF and SPLM-N (al-Hilu faction) launched a major coordinated offensive against Dilling, the second-largest city in South Kordofan, beginning the morning of March 28. Supported by South Sudanese mercenaries, the allied forces conducted intensive drone and heavy artillery strikes on residential neighborhoods, health centres, schools, and crowded markets. The SAF stated it repelled the assault, claiming destruction of 36 combat vehicles and seizure of 4 others in 'fierce' battles. SAF drones struck RSF reinforcements near Habila and along the Dilling–North Kordofan highway. The allied force simultaneously seized the al-Tukma area approximately 7 km east of Dilling and cut the road connecting Dilling to Habila and onward to North Kordofan, causing basic commodities to disappear from local markets.
