SAF Drone Strikes Funeral in Al Sunut, West Kordofan — 7 Killed, 39 Wounded

A drone strike attributed to SAF hit a funeral gathering in Al Sunut, West Kordofan on March 27, killing 7 people and injuring 39. The attack followed a previous strike on Al Sunut on March 10 that had killed at least 50 people traveling in a lorry. SPLM-N (al-Hilu) issued a statement claiming strikes throughout the week caused over 60 people killed and over 100 injured. Al Sunut is in RSF-held West Kordofan and has been repeatedly struck by SAF drones in early 2026.
