Starship Flight 14 Clears Wet Dress Rehearsal

SpaceX completed a wet dress rehearsal (WDR) for Starship Flight 14 at Starbase on September 24, 2026, loading Booster 21 and Ship 41 with thousands of tons of cryogenic propellant and running the countdown sequence down to just short of engine ignition before draining the vehicle back down. SpaceX posted on X that the 'launch rehearsal' was 'complete ahead of Starship Flight 14.' The test clears one of the final major technical hurdles before the vehicle's first orbital attempt; the 75-minute launch window opens 7:15am-8:30am CT Monday, September 28 from Starbase. SpaceX still requires an FAA launch license, which had not been issued as of the rehearsal's completion. Flight 14 will attempt a six-orbit, ~275km, near-10-hour mission deploying 26 Starlink V3 satellites, with Super Heavy targeting an offshore Gulf of Mexico landing and Ship 41 a Pacific Ocean splashdown near Chile.
